With over a decade of impactful experience across social services, juvenile justice, public policy, and community development, James has dedicated his career to empowering individuals, transforming communities, and advancing social justice. Originally from Caruthersville, Missouri, he spent 12 formative years in rural Arkansas, where he gained a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing underserved communities. These experiences have fueled his commitment to creating pathways for opportunity and positive change.

Having faced his own challenges, including becoming a father at a young age, James understands the importance of guidance, mentorship, and access to resources. Inspired by his lived experiences, he has set out to bridge gaps for others, supporting youth, families, and communities in building brighter futures.

James brings a wealth of experience from prominent organizations to Hollywood Enterprise & Associates. At the Annie E. Casey Foundation, he supported child welfare and juvenile justice reform initiatives, helping agencies make data-informed decisions to achieve sustainable improvements. By connecting system leaders with individuals directly impacted by the system, James helped drive community transformation through data-informed decision-making.

At MERS Goodwill, James developed skill-building and workforce development programs that prepared young people for career-connected learning. His tenure at Arkansas Early Learning equipped him with expertise in early childhood education and compliance, where he served as Community Partnership Director, Manager of Family Compliance Quality, and Regional Manager of Program Compliance. In these roles, James contributed to the quality and equity of educational access, ensuring that families and young children received the support they needed.

Personal Touch

Outside of his professional endeavors, James is a devoted family man, a passionate mental health advocate, and an active participant in his community. He serves on several boards and engages in volunteer initiatives, embodying his belief in the power of service and giving back.
